Using locally sourced produce and proteins, I craft menus that feel vibrant, approachable, and tailored to the people gathered around the table. My cooking journey began when I was a young boy in my grandmother’s kitchen. As a first-generation Dominican American, food has always been at the center of our family gatherings—it’s what brought us together, told our stories, and connected us to our roots. Growing up in New York City added an even richer layer to that foundation, introducing me to new cuisines, diverse cultures, and a love for cooking with people from all walks of life.
I started at the very bottom of the food world—as a busboy and dishwasher—slowly working my way up through every station. Those early years shaped my work ethic and my appreciation for the craft. Over time, I grew into roles as a line cook and eventually a sous chef for Disney.
My passion for cooking and traveling has taken me across the country, from a winery on a vineyard in Oregon to a yacht club on Martha’s Vineyard. I later moved into teaching as a cooking class instructor at Hotel Bardo in Savannah, Georgia, where I discovered a new joy in sharing my knowledge with others.
Today, I’m a private chef based in Orlando, bringing together all the influences of my upbringing, my travels, and my professional experience. Whether I’m making fresh pasta, exploring global flavors, or crafting a family-style meal, my goal is always the same: to create food that brings people together, just the way my family’s meals always did.
